June 10         - The Jupiter High School Band in Jupiter, Florida, is in search of an enthusiastic, progressive Band Director beginning July 1, 2016.  This growing, comprehensive program consists of a state-level Wind Symphony, FMBC back-to-back State Champion Marching Band, world-ranked Winter Guard, South Florida Champion Winter (indoor) Percussion, two Symphonic Bands, Jazz Band, separate percussion classes. Band members participate in district and state level Solo and Ensemble festival and Concert Music Performance Assessments.

This well-established program has been growing for the past six years and is on a trajectory to reach national marching and concert band competitions and performances.

Currently the program has over 200 students with an assistant band director who specializes in Jazz Band and woodwinds and assists with Symphonic Band and Marching Band. It retains a strong staff and design team for Marching Band, Winter Guard and Winter Percussion. Talented local professional instructors and consultants are also involved to assist with sectionals and concert/MPA preparation
Jupiter HS is a host school for annual regional Marching Band and Winter Guard/Percussion competitions, and this year they will be hosting DCI Jupiter, a summer stop on the Drum Corps International circuit.

The program is extremely well supported by the school administration, a very active Band Parent Organization and an extremely committed volunteer group. Even though it is part of the Palm Beach County School District (one of the largest in the state), Jupiter HS is located in a very close-knit community and is fed by two very large superior-ranked middle school band programs whose directors work very closely with the high school directors to encourage and continue matriculation.

If you are an energetic, passionate director with long-term visionary goals and are ready to take this program forward, please send your resume to Jupiter HS Principal Dan Frank at
dan.frank@palmbeachschools.org Also, you are encouraged to include links to video recordings of any of your concert band and marching band performances.
